Neither man has ever been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. The soldiers were in the 82nd Airborne Division. They were both truck drivers in the same Army unit.
The body of the 17-year-old was sent to the Chapel Hill medical examiner for a full autopsy to determine the cause of death.
