25-year-old former teacher’s assistant arrested for sex crimes

On Behalf of | Oct 9, 2015 | Sex Crimes |

A 25-year-old woman who used to work as a teacher’s assistance at Longview School in Raleigh, North Carolina, was arrested after she turned herself in to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office. A warrant was out for her arrest for the felony charge of a sex offense with a student.

The Longview School is a school for students that have behavioral issues. The woman was hired in 2013, but resigned on Jan. 2 of this year. She is currently unemployed according to her arrest records.

The warrant says that the woman had sexual intercourse with a male student between Dec. 1, 2013 and Jan. 1, 2015. The warrant for the woman’s arrest, though, wasn’t signed by the magistrate until the middle of last month.

The woman is also facing some other charges, including Wake County charges of driving while impaired and driving with a revoked license. She also has an upcoming Pender County court date for the same offenses.

It is not known if the woman has a bail set or if she is still in the Wake County Jail. The charges she faces are serious and have significant penalties. However, there are other issues that can result from such charges, even if the woman is found not guilty. Her reputation likely has been damaged, and obviously, her career has suffered.
