Get To Know Our Hometown Attorney In Greensboro

I was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. After working at the Raleigh office of Marcilliat & Mills PLLC, where I helped resolve some of the firm’s most challenging and complex cases, I returned to my hometown to fight for people facing serious accusations.

Criminal defense is all about results. The outcome of a criminal case often determines the course of a client’s future.

I understand how important it is to bring balance to our criminal justice system. Whether it’s avoiding prison or restoring a client’s driver’s license, the best part of my job as a criminal defense attorney is guiding clients through tough situations and fighting to put them in the best position for their future. That’s what my legal services are all about.

Putting Principles Into Practice:

A drug trafficking case I worked in Greensboro involved a man with a serious criminal history who was facing felony charges with a potential mandatory minimum sentence of 70 to 93 months. Although the client had done several years in prison previously, he had, by all appearances, turned his life around when he was charged with heroin trafficking.

I was able to enter this client into a first offenders program, and he will have all of his charges dismissed upon completion of probation. As a result, the client was able to keep not only his freedom, but also his job, business and visitation with his child.

In another case, a federal district court referred to my writing as “one of the best memorandums [he had] read in a criminal case.” The memo was a sentencing position paper that argued for a mitigated sentence for a client facing 20 years for his involvement in a mortgage fraud conspiracy charged under the federal RICO statute. The client ended up receiving a sentence below the recommended sentencing range for his offense.
