It's no secret that rapper Daniel Hernandez, aka Tekashi69, has found himself deep in troubled legal waters. Last November, he and several associates were arrested and hit with numerous federal felony charges in connection with the Nine Trey Gang, a violent sect of the Bloods. A conviction on all counts could have landed him in prison for life; at minimum, he faced nearly 50 years behind bars.
Linda Knox entered a guilty plea to federal charges involving mail fraud in 2010. She was accused of billing for services not performed by her If It's Water and More company. For five years, between 2005 and 2010, Knox had billed customers for water sample collection services that were never completed, according to federal prosecutors.
A former Marine from North Carolina will be in federal court for sentencing after pleading guilty to exporting firearms without a license and traveling in foreign commerce to deal in firearms without a license. The federal charges for gun smuggling stem from an incident last year.
A 43-year-old stepmother from North Carolina has pled guilty to second degree murder in Catawba County Superior Court. She is accused of murdering her 10-year-old stepdaughter through undetermined means including dismembering her body. The woman also pled guilty to obstruction of justice in an unrelated criminal charge.
